Spring Clean-Up at Pilgrim Church
Our annual Spring Clean-up here at church will be held on Saturday, May 10th
from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Lunch will be served. So come on out and help us
make our church beautiful! Bring rakes, gloves, hedge trimmer and a shovel or two.
Please let Kathy in the church office know if you are coming so we can get a head count for lunch.
Local Food Drive
The National Association of Letter Carriers, inconjunction with the US Postal Service, the United Way, and the AFL-CIO,
will be collecting nonperishable food items on May 10th, for distribution to our local food banks. All Nashua letter carriers
have volunteered their services while delivering their routes that day.
Please place nonperishable food items in or outside your mailboxes to be picked up. Last year, over 28,000 pounds of food for the Nashua area was collected. Please help our community!
Annual Yard Sale
Saturday, May 17, 8:30 am - 2 pm
You can rent a 12 by 12 foot area to sell your wares for $20, or come browse and shop for that special
something you have been looking everywhere for, or grab a bargain lunch of 2 hot dogs, a bag of chips, and drink
for $3.
So start cleaning out those closets, attics, garages, and basements! For more information, contact Holly Paré, or Kathy in the church office.

Cancellations
For last-minute news about schedule changes to Sunday worship and other
Church-related activities, we now have three ways of notifying you: phone, TV, and web.
- First of all, you can call the church office at 882-1801. If a service is cancelled or postponed due to weather, we generally try to (at least) record an
announcement on the office answering machine. Ultimately, this is the most reliable because it can be done with the least notice.
- In the case of storm-related cancellations, we are also notifying local television. Please watch: WMUR television - Channel 9 in Manchester.
- Finally, whenever possible we also post delays or cancellations on this
website, in the “Church News” sidebar of the home page.
Worship Service CDs are Available
If you would like a CD of our Sunday worship service, please
speak to one of our Diaconate members who are on duty each Sunday. They will
Flowers for the Sanctuary
Anyone is welcome to place flowers in the Sanctuary during the year. You can
dedicate flowers for a birthday, anniversary, special occasion, or
just to say thinking of you.
Just sign your name on the date you want on the Flower Calendar hanging in
the hallway by the narthex doors. Ellie Beals will contact you close to the chosen date to ask
the type of flower arrangement you want, and any message for the bulletin. The
cost of flowers starts at $20.00 and can go up from there if you choose.
Another way of giving flowers is to tell Ellie that you are bringing flowers for Sunday.
They might simply be a floral arrangement from the grocery store that caught your eye.
If you have a message to go with them, let Ellie know so that it can be placed in the weekly
bulletin.
Let’s see if we can have flowers in our sanctuary every Sunday!
Considering Becoming a Member of Pilgrim Church?
See Rev. Koonz after worship, call him in the office (at 882-1801), or
email him and he will contact you. Remember to include your phone number in your email!
Directories of Members & Friends
are available for anyone who would like one. Drop into the church office and
ask!
Fund Raising Policy
Here at Pilgrim Church we do support our youth and adults who wish to sell “Fund
Raising” items for a church group or outside organization (such as Girl
Scout cookies, Nashua High School subs, popcorn and wreaths for Scouts, etc.). Permission
must be obtained for any fund raising event including those sponsored by school,
athletic, civic & social organizations. All we ask is that
you submit a “Request Form” to the church secretary, Kathy, who
then submits it to the Cabinet, who then decide whether to allow the fund raising.
You can submit your request for the year starting in September and running
through June. To pick up a form, see Kathy in the church office.
Help Keep The Sanctuary Clean
The Diaconate requests that you not leave worship bulletins in the hymnals
or pews and that you clean up any paper and litter around your area after worship.
Look for the paper recycling box in the narthex. Thank you!
